Inspired by the synchronized flashing of fireflies, The Light Where We Meet turns individual interactions into collective rhythms. Shapes respond to their neighbors without a central controller, producing an evolving system of pulses.

Project released on 19 September 2025 in collaboration with The Generative Art Museum for Responsive Dreams. This individual token was minted on 8 August 2026. The catalogue date follows the project’s original release.
The software first draws paths through flow fields and geometric structures. Where paths meet, they close into shapes. Each shape then follows an internal clock that advances more quickly when neighboring shapes flash. Unseen moving agents introduce further disturbances, keeping the collective rhythm in motion. The work is responsive to its display and continues animating after the initial drawing stage.
