A set of four densely patterned images created by Casey Reas under the pseudonym Caesuras. This work is part of his AAI (Anarchic Artificial Intelligence).
Provenance
Released under the name Caesuras on Versum, Tezos, on 3 August 2022. Unique token #27769; work 093 in the CSRSNT-DAAI series.

In CSRSNT-DAAI-093-of-128, colored rectangles gather into intricate blocks interrupted by dark passages and voids. The four images differ in density and spacing: some spread their pattern across almost the whole square, while others leave broad areas of black. At a distance they suggest aerial views or circuit boards; close inspection reveals smaller grids nested within larger ones.
Reas has used the identity Caesuras since 2017. The name originated when autocorrect changed “caseyreas” to “caesuras,” giving him a way to release work apart from the expectations attached to his established name. This work belongs to AAI (Anarchic Artificial Intelligence), a body of images developed through recursive subdivision. Repeatedly dividing the grid produces structures that alternate between legible order and dense visual interference.
Each CSRSNT-DAAI work develops the correspondingly numbered image in the earlier CAAI series. Here, CSRSNT-CAAI-093 becomes a set of four related images, conceived to remain together. Work 093 was released on Versum on 3 August 2022 as part of the sixth group in the 128-work series.
The underlying images are fixed; the browser viewer makes their exploration interactive. Keys 1–4 select an image, while zooming, panning and random crops reveal different levels of detail. The spacebar enables a new random crop once per minute. Changes in viewpoint and scale alter the experience without changing the four source images.
