The image brings a desert plant into dialogue with the rectilinear forms of Donald Judd’s installations at the Chinati Foundation. It is another example of representational generative art from DCA.

DCA conceived Marfa Yucca after seeing flowering yuccas around Marfa and watching sunrise over Judd’s 100 untitled works in mill aluminum at Chinati. The series joins those experiences in generative arrangements of plants and boxes. In this output, the Ayala palette and red yucca give the scene the character of a spare botanical drawing.

The series comprises 390 minted works from a timed release in November–December 2022. The artist recommends a vertical 3:4 display and provides an SVG export through the live version, using the “p” key.
