Really Random Rock begins with a closed-loop shape and repeatedly expands it through random operations. DCA links these unpredictable results to the appreciation of naturally formed viewing stones. Any resemblance to a familiar subject arises by chance. The series was made for Plottables, and each image can be translated into a pen plot.
Output #221 uses the Water palette and is classified as a large rock, with rounded crags and diffuse, spread shading. The work retains the specificity of an individual specimen while making visible the algorithm that produced it.
