Towers builds an ongoing structure from rows of characters. Lateral changes and vertical scrolling make the tower seem to rotate and renew itself. The work turns signs designed for reading into material for a moving construction.
Output #242 uses a monospace font and downward motion. Its restrained black-on-grey palette makes differences of spacing, density and alignment especially clear. The live work supports high-resolution PNG snapshots, preserving individual states of its evolving structure.
